Alishan Jin Xuan Fomosa is a black tea from Chiayi County on the western coast of Taiwan. It is crafted from the Jin Xuan cultivar that is grown at an elevation about 3,300 feet.
The milky character of this cultivar that is expressed in the lightly oxidized wulong teas does not get expressed in this fully oxidized leaf. Instead, the beautiful slightly twisted leaves yield a smooth and clean, medium-bodied infusion with sweet, stewed fruit, and woody notes.
