Chirrepec Tea Co-op Organic Guatemala Black Tea

Chirrepec Tea Co-op Organic is a black tea produced in the northern part of Guatemala. The co-op was established by Mayan farming families in the 1970's near Coban, a mountainous region that is at an elevation of approximately 4,300 feet. The temperate climate and pristine region, which contains several national parks, provide the perfect setting to grow and produce fine, organic artisan teas.

Large, twisted leaves yield a medium-bodied, smooth, bright, brisk and lingering infusion that is rich, savory and sweet with notes of fruit, roasted root vegetables, and tobacco.
