Wild-Grown Silver Needle is a rare white tea produced in the Suoi Giang Commune in Yen Bai Province in northern Vietnam. Located in the ancient mountain forests at an elevation about 4,500 feet, pure un-opened buds are hand-harvested from the wild Camellia sinensis assamica trees. The buds then undergo an extended withering in the sun to reduce moisture before being finished solely by hand.
The slender bud yield a delicate, smooth and complex, light-bodied infusion that has a slight viscosity and a lovely sweetness with floral, grassy, and nutty notes.
