Glenburn Estate Four Seasons Blend is from the famous tea-producing Darjeeling Region in the foothills of the Himalayas in the state of West Bengal in northeastern India. Established around 1859, the 1600-acre estate is located at about 3,200 feet and is planted with the Camellia sinensis sinensis variety of the tea plant. The garden uses sustainable agricultural practices and is a member of the Ethical Tea Partnership, a tea-specific fair trade organization. As such, it provides living and working conditions that exceed those required by Indian law, a hospital and schools for the workers’ children.
A blend of First Flush, Second Flush, Monsoon (Summer) Flush, and Autumn Flush, multi-colored leaves yield a pale amber, medium-bodied, highly aromatic infusion that highlights the flavors and aromas of all four Darjeeling flushes – sweet, floral, fresh, hay, and fruity.
