Jasmine Phoenix Pearls is a traditionally scented China green tea from Fujian Province that is made with premium quality bud set. Each bud set (tea bud and top one or two leaves) are hand-rolled into pearls and then scented repeatedly for up to one month with beautifully fragrant, night-blooming jasmine blossoms. After the scenting process is complete, the jasmine blossoms are completely removed.
This tea is best prepared by putting a few pearls in the bottom of a cup or mug so they have enough room to unfurl completely in the hot water. As the pearls unfurl, they produce an intoxicating floral aroma and a delicately sweet, smooth and light-bodied infusion. A truly exquisite tea!
The leaves can be infused multiple times - just keep adding water until the pearls have completely opened up and the essential oils have been extracted from the leaves.
