Kukicha Organic, also known as twig tea, is a green tea that is produced on the Pacific coast in the Shizuoka Prefecture of Japan. The region benefits from a humid, temperate, marine climate and is ideal for growing tea. Our Kukicha is produced from the stems, hence the name twig tea, of plant material that has undergone processing to become Fukamushi Sencha.
The leaves yield a light-bodied, very smooth and clean infusion that is fragrant with sweet and fresh notes. This tea is lower in caffeine since it is only stems and no leaves.
