Harmutty Estate FTGFOP Assam is a full leaf black tea with ample golden tips from one of the finest orthodox tea producers in the Assam Region of India. It was established in 1878 along the banks of the River Dikrong, a tributary of the Brahmaputra River, and is surrounded by forests. It is believed to be named after Queen Hiramati, the wife of the king Arimata who had ruled all of lower Assam.
The leaves yield a golden amber infusion that is full-bodied, wonderfully rich, sweet and smooth with malty notes typical of Assam teas. A good self-drinker or add sugar and a splash of milk.
