Lapsang Souchong Organic is a scented black tea from the Fujian Province of China. Large black tea leaves are smoked over pine, which scents them with a distinctly smoked wood aroma. Lapsang Souchong varies in strength and smokiness - ours yields a smooth, medium- to full-bodied infusion with a smoky aroma and mildly smoky flavor.
This tea is a good self-drinker and also is a wonderful ingredient to be used in cooking as a "spice rub" or to add a smoky note to sauces.
