Zhushan Bug-Bitten Light Roast Organic Formosa wulong tea is from Zhushan Township in the southwest part of Nantou County on the island of Taiwan. Located at an elevation about 1,300 feet, these low-grown tea leaves have been heavily bug-bitten. Produced from the Si Ji Chun cultivar, also known as Four Seasons Spring, the leaves have been oxidized about 25% and then received a moderate roasting.
The tightly rolled leaves unfurl to yield a smooth, slightly thick, light-bodied infusion that is complex and rich with sweet spice, fruity, and floral notes and a lingering creamy sweetness.
Leaves may be infused multiple times.
