Wild-Grown Ancient Tree Black Tea is from the Yen Bai Province in the north-central part of Vietnam. The terrain is a blend of steep, rugged mountains and plunging valleys. The leaves of this tea are harvested from wild tea trees that are over 500 years old and grow at an elevation above 4,200 feet. Harvesters must climb the trees in order to hand-pluck the leaves, which are then hand-processed.
The long, twisted leaves yield a full-bodied, rich and smooth infusion with notes of malt, spice, cacao, earth, and a subtle sweetness.
